Another day at sfmoma pt.1

I am back writing up something new for you all to read. Didn’t post last week because it was Thanksgiving weekend and figured to take a break from posting and taking some time on working on a backlog of photos.

Two weekends ago, my girlfriend and I had another day at SFMOMA. But, this time around we brought two of our really good friends along with us. I finally got to check out the sports themed exhibit, “Get In The Game”.

The “Get In The Game” exhibit is entirely sports themed. It featured all sorts of art work revolving the world of sports; whether it be surfing, basketball, football, track & field, or any sport from around the world. I would consider myself a rather avid sports fan. Definitely not a die-hard, but I do appreciate watching sports and support my local teams.

The exhibit had all sorts of art pieces from quilts, paintings, personal interpretations of sports equipment, and even fashion that was designed and inspired by sports. Some of my personal favorite notable pieces were the archival Nike basketball and running sneakers, fashionable looks designed by Thom Browne and the late Virgil Abloh.

We got to completely walk through all floors of SFMOMA this time around and with this being our second visit on my annual membership, I got a complete return on my investment. I highly encourage anyone who is interested in the arts to sign up for an annual membership! There is a good amount of perks, with the best one being that you can bring a guest with you for free anytime you want to visit the museum.

We started at around noon and finished up the museum at around 3:30 in the afternoon. I snagged myself a really dope T-shirt designed by one of my favorite local San Francisco artists, Barry McGee. We were all pretty hungry afterwards, so we decided to end our day with all you can eat Hot Pot. I was obliterated by the amount of meats we ate, but Joey and Justine were the real MVPs and ate everything we that we all over-ordered.

Overall, that day was good times, good vibes, and great eats. ‘Til the next one, enjoy these shots of my favorite things from the “Get In The Game Exhibit”.
