Quick Life update.

Today’s post is going to be very different than my usual posts. This time around, I wanted to give a quick life update and let you folks know whats going on in my world.

Very recently, I started a new job and I am trying my best to figure out when I can maintain my website and work on creative projects. With this new job, it is definitely something entirely different and new from what I have ever done. It requires me to wake up at the ass crack of dawn; if not, EARLIER. On top of that, I am non-stop working on assignments and projects throughout this building, maintaining eight floors of the twenty-three story building. Basically, I am now a facilities assistant. The job description on the job listing was kinda misleading and downplays the actual work I do on a daily basis. Am I hating? No. Am I bitching and complaining? Probably. I am just really hoping I get used to things and that my day to day is not as hectic as they currently are.

Another thing as of recent, I have been absolutely addicted to Pickleball. Yeah, I am a basic ass bitch for being one of the masses to pick up this sport. BUT, I promise you, anyone that gives it a try WILL be addicted and want to play. So, I was made aware of Pickleball about three years ago from a Podcast I was listening to. They would constantly talk about this Pickleball, so I got curious and looked it on YouTube. Sure enough, I thought it looked hella fun and relatively quick to learn. Since then, I been casually watching matches on PickleBallTV. Three years later, my girlfriend asked me if I wanted to play Pickleball. Mind you, I have never played in my life. I was so surprised she asked me, let alone she even knew of the sport. I said, yeah lets give it a try. We went to Dick’s Sporting Goods and bought a cheap beginner set of paddles. We went to a court in her area with our cheap shitty paddles, and we were instantly intimidated to play. Weeks passed and we still have never even played. Fast forward a month later, some of our friends decided they wanted to play also. Luckily they had an extra set of paddles, because I realized the ones that we bought were total and absolute crap. Fast forward again two months to present day, now we have a solid group of friends that play regularly on Sundays and we all have actual pretty legit gear. But, we are all still pretty fresh to the game and are all learning and trying to get better.

Photgraphy-wise, currently I don’t have any major projects going on. I also have not gone out to shoot lately. Just been really busy on weekends that I haven’t actually taken the time to bring my camera to shoot. But, I have shot a couple of small events here and there. I should’ve charged, but I didn’t. Running a business is really hard when it comes to friends and family that reach out to you for your services. Obviously I want to give the joog, but also I need to make a penny.

As I always like to say, a post isn’t worth reading without some pictures. So enjoy a bunch of random pictures from me leaving my old workplace, to my new job, and my Pickleball obsession.

Til the next one, enjoy.
